Miyawaki Forest Initiative at School
DAWN Trust successfully established a Miyawaki Forest within the school campus, creating a dense, fast-growing green zone that fosters biodiversity, improves air quality, and provides students with a natural learning environment.
Program Highlights
🌳 Area Covered: 3,000 sq. ft. within school premises
🌱 50+ native plant species carefully selected and planted
🪵 Soil Enrichment Works:
Deep digging for healthy root growth
Addition of husk, cow manure, and cocopeat for soil fertility and water retention
🌍 Creation of a self-sustaining micro-forest ecosystem in the school environment
